Flotsam
David Weisner
1st-5th Grade

Flotsam is stuff that floats on the water, and that is exactly how the young boy in our story finds an old camera: it comes floating in on a giant wave.

Flotsam is a wordless picture book about a mysterious camera that washes up on shore containing photos that are beyond belief: a squid family in their living room, mechanical fish, and a picture within a picture within a picture within a picture (we could keep going!) are just the beginning. A complex story without words makes this picture book more appropriate for a slightly older group.
