Book Club in a Bag

The Book Club in a Bag is a book discussion kit including at least 5 copies of a title with an author bio, a reading guide and other information about the book. Kits may be borrowed for eight weeks to allow time to read, discuss and return the material. The Book Club in a Bag program is sponsored by the Friends of the Public Library of Westland.

Where do I get it?

You can borrow Book Club in a Bag kits by asking at the Reference Desk. A list of titles is available online or at the Reference Desk, or by searching our catalog for the phrase "book club in a bag" (include the quotes).

How does it work?

Choose a title from the list and ask for it at the Reference Desk. The entire kit - bag, discussion material, copies of the book - will be checked out to one cardholder, who is responsible for all contents of the kit and for any material fees incurred. All materials must be returned to the library together - books may not be returned individually. Overdue Book Club in a Bag kits (including those returned incomplete) incur fines of $1.00 per day.
