Welcome to the William P. Faust Public Library of Westland

What am I going to read now?

Novelist Fiction Database

If you've finished everything there is by your favorite author and don't know what to read next, you should try Novelist. It's a fiction database that can help you find more books like the ones you've read. Plus there are book discussion guides, reviews, booklists, author read-alike lists, and tons more to help you find that elusive "next book."

How do I use Novelist?

To use Novelist outside the Library, you first need a valid Library Card. Click on any Novelist link on this page, or on our Research Database page, and sign in with your Library Card number (you can use it inside the library without signing in).

Once Novelist comes up, search for an author in the Quick Search box on the left. Start clicking on titles or tabs to see what happens. You can also take their tutorials to learn more about how it works.

Go on and try it!

If you're an avid reader, we think you'll be really pleased with Novelist. It's useful, but it's also just a lot of fun. Go on and try it!
